QA Engineer

Pando Networks is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dedicated and passionate team of professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Design, manage and implement test strategies, test plans, Integration, regression and stress tests
• Manage the development life cycle and the release processes
• Understand business and product requirement and ensure proper execution
• Work with the support team to investigate bug reports
• Work with development team to resolve problems
• Develop automated testing scripts

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related experience preferred
• At least 3 years of previous Quality Assurance experience
• Proven track record in troubleshooting and problem-solving ability in a distributed environment
• Proficiency working within a Windows/Unix/OSX environment
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail and proven ability to meet deadlines
• Familiarity with bug tracking software
• Familiarity with programming language C++/Perl
• Familiarity with SQL
• Test automation experience autoit/autohotkey

C++ Software Engineer

Pando Networks is looking for a talented C++ developer to join our dedicated and passionate team of professionals.

Pando Networks offers the fun and dynamic environment of a startup within a mature, growing and profitable company with a solid business model.

We are looking for someone who is creative, self-starter, open minded with a can-do attitude who has an in depth knowledge of the language, loves to code, works fast, is able to deliver results quickly and can turn ideas into high quality, maintainable code.

You will join our R&D team and work closely with Product Management as well as QA.

You must be an expert in Windows programming in C++ and familiar with windows internals.

You must have at least 4+ years of experience in C++ development for commercial products and a Bachelors or a Masters in a related field (CS/CE/EE).

Technical Skills:

• C/C++ generic programming, including STL
• Boost and OpenSSL . NSPR/NSS knowledge is a plus.
• Programming in a multi-threaded, distributed environment
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP and network programming
• Excellent understanding of OS, kernel and CPU architectures, specifically Windows Internals
• GUI and event-driven programming: Win32, COM, ATL
• Cross-platform work (Windows, Mac & Linux) with emphasis on Windows.
• Working with and managing a large code base
• Server side Java and MySQL experience is a big plus
• Being an MMO game player is a plus!

Senior Java Software Engineer

Pando Networks is looking for a talented lead Java Developer to join our dynamic, fun and competent team.

The lead Java developer is a leadership position within our company, but that doesn't mean you'll attend meetings all day. You will participate in the design and lead the implementation of large-scale, distributed server software. You will write a lot of code!

We are looking for a generalist who can operate on multiple levels of detail, who has in depth knowledge of the language, loves to code, works fast, is able to deliver results quickly and can turn ideas into high quality, maintainable code.

In particular, you will be responsible for SOAP-based web services Standalone, custom-built server software, high volume MySQL-based data infrastructure Reporting and ETL systems.

You must have:

• At least 5 years of experience in Java coding for large-scale commercial systems
• A Bachelors or a Masters in a related field (CS/CE/EE).
• Network programming experience (e.g.,using TCP/UDP sockets)
• Multi-threaded applications
• Experience with: Hibernate, MySQL, Axis, Tomcat
• Broad software engineering experience including: PHP, C++ etc..
• Developed software in a team setting... yet are able to work unsupervised when given a task

You’re the perfect candidate for this position if:

• You've written applications using Java NIO
• You know what the reactor pattern is
• You can talk about SYN/SYN-ACK/ACK,2MSL,TIME_WAIT and describe what NAT does
• You have experience with P2P protocols (i.e. BitTorrent)
• You're also great C/C++ developer
• You understand and are capable of web development (PHP,Javascript)
• Linux> Windows
• Wouldn't think of working anywhere but at a startup!
